The first full length Gypsy Brothers novel from the smash hit author Lili St. Germain.
How much is a life worth?
I grew up in Colombia, the daughter of a wealthy drug lord. I lived a life of extravagance, until one day a drug run went horribly wrong and everything came crashing down around us.
I was given away. A payment for a debt. The Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club became my new owners, and I did everything I could to survive.
But falling in love with the man who owned me wasn't part of the plan...

The second scorching novel in the USA Today bestselling Cartel trilogy from the smash-hit author Lili St Germain.
They say love conquers all.
It's a lie.
Five days a week, I dressed in smart business clothes. I painted my face, and went to work as an accountant. But nothing about my life was normal.
For eight years I had been the property of the Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club. I laundered their money so well they'd never let me leave. My only glimmer of light was the man I loved. The man who had saved me.
His love had been the only thing that kept the demons at bay. But he'd become so immersed in the cartel's brutal business that I hardly knew him anymore.
Dornan had been my salvation, but he was also my undoing.
Would he pull me down into the darkness until he destroyed me? Could I save him?
Did I even want to?

Cartel Review:

The story before the Gypsy Brothers, that’s basically what I am calling this. I’m super picky about my MC books. This one didn’t hit all my points on them and yet I still was kinda ok with it. As far as the story goes, this one felt a bit flat. There was never a big event that pulls you in. I kept feeling like we were leading up to something that never came.

Dornan was probably the only reason I kept reading this book. I liked his character and he made the book for me. I know he will never be nominated for best book boyfriend but he was my favorite thing about this book. He isn’t a good man and he doesn’t pretend to be one, I liked that.

Mariana, I’m still not sure about her. I never connected to her and she never gave me any reason to. She was just ok and stayed that way the whole book. I didn’t like how she went back and forth with Dornan, one minute she was strong against him and the next one she was not. This is the kinda book for readers who like the girl to fall for her captor (Stockholm Syndrome) but I felt it was more that she just thought he was hot. He never gave her anything that I felt was a good enough reason to fall in love with him. He wasn’t ever very nice to her. I didn’t get the connection.

I’m interested enough to continue the series but I did have issues with it. Pick it up if it sounds like your kinda read.

“Dornan had been my salvation, but he was also my undoing.”

Kingpin Review:

I’m going to keep my Kingpin review short because on Monday my Empire review goes live and that’s where I am going to put it all out there.

Here is some bullet points for you until then:

~John Portland is Dornan’s opposite. I can see why she is drawn to him. I get it.

~Dornan goes dark. He gives you a rollercoaster of emotions and I still like his ride the most. I’m the anti hero kinda girl.

~I like how Lili has played up both guys in this book.

~Hello cliffy hell

~This book was better than book 1, in case you were on the fence after reading book one.

~These books MUST be read in order.

Now get ready for Empire and enjoy the ride.

About Lili St. Germain

Lili writes dark, disturbing romance. Her #1 bestselling Gypsy Brothers series was created in a serial format – quick, intense episodes released frequently with some wicked cliffhangers. The Gypsy Brothers series focuses on a morally bankrupt biker gang and the girl who seeks her vengeance upon them. The Cartel series is a prequel trilogy of full-length novels that explores the beginnings of the club, to be released in 2015 by HarperCollins.

Lili quit corporate life to focus on writing and so far is loving every minute of it. Her other loves in life include her gorgeous husband and beautiful daughter, good coffee, Tarantino movies and spending hours on Pinterest.
She loves to read almost as much as she loves to write.
