Savagery. Sin. Depravity—-these are my virtues. My religion.
My name is Dante Sovrano, head of the Chicago Mob, and I run this city. Everyone bows down to me.
The moment I saw Sarah, I knew she’d be trouble. She’s fiery and cutthroat, wrapped up in a lickable package.
But there are dark secrets hiding behind those gorgeous blue eyes.
And I plan to know them all because she’ll have to make a deal with the devil to solve her problems.
Too bad the devil always takes your soul. And I’ll be keeping it— Because Sarah London is mine.
The newest ALPHA in this series of standalones is the definition of depraved. Dante Sovrano is ruthless and knows exactly who and what he wants. Good luck standing in his way.

“Because that’s what men do. We collect that which we don’t want anyone else to touch. We’re greedy by nature, making sure to possess all the things that elude us, the beautiful treasures we want. Whether it’s money, power, or women, our nature tells us there’s never enough.”
This series has consumed my thoughts for almost the past year. I’ve raved about Truth, which is still currently my favorite in the series, then I died over Worship, I’ve still not gotten over Lucas. Then there’s this one, Dante kinda shocked me. I wasn’t expecting to love him as much as I did. These boys have made a home in my heart, and I never want them to leave.
“I felt it. Your power. Your possession. And I wanted to be collected.”
One of the things I love most about Trilina’s writing is her ability to take a story that, in all honesty, might have been done before. But with the way she does it, it makes it so much more, so fresh, and very very captivating. There isn’t this over abundance of overused words, you know the canned phrases I’m talking about. She’s got us eating from the palm of her hand with this series, and it’s so effortless.
“The cruelest thing I’ve ever done to myself was have a taste of a man that’s left me with cravings.”
Dante and Sarah we’re so perfect for each other. I don’t think I could of seen him with anyone who wasn’t as strong as she was. She’s his equal and the perfect Queen to stand by his side. Their connection was electric, and his need to protect her gave me all of the goosebumps. The only reason I marked this one down a little, otherwise it’s a complete knock out, was the one little thing I never like. Sorry. I can’t. Can’t even.
I really wished this was less “instalove” and had more of a “chase” to it. It’s was zero to next page for them. I wanted more angst there, more of struggle. I live for the struggle, the chase, the angst of it all. I love watching the “falling” part, and “instalove” takes that away. It strips me of my favorite part of reading romance books.
“We’re depraved, Dante. I recognized your darkness because it’s mine as well.”
Triling is a phenomenal writer, she writes with heart and a skill I haven’t seen for a while. I will never forget how floored I was when I read Truth. She took one of my favorite tropes and turned it into something so new, even though I’ve read it time and time again. I am in awe of her. I can’t wait for the rest of this series, and any other books from her.
