The stunning conclusion to the All In Duet... In Vegas, there was one man who was off limits. One man... and I fell for him.
I knew there were risks. Still, I played the game. When Dario Capece called, I answered. When he beckoned, I came. When he broke all my rules, I looked the other way.
I knew there were risks. I just never realized they included death.
Note: This book should be read after Even Money (available now).
“And he, somewhere among that cold indifference, loved me. I had to believe that.”
My favorite stories are dark romance but if I had to pick a second it would be romantic suspense. It’s one of the reasons I love Alessandra’s books. She does an amazing job with these stories and read everything she puts out.
This duet was the first time I had to stop and think about what I would rate it, as far as Alessandra’s books go. I usually know as soon as the book ends what I want to rate it. The reason I was still on the fence was because I was not 100% sold on their relationship. I never truly felt the connection they said they had. The story was a solid 4 stars. I think if a few things would have been played out more and not glossed over it would have been rated higher for me. If I could have felt more from Dario and Bell I think the glossed over story parts would not have felt as lacking as it did.
I enjoyed these books like I always do from her, but they will not be my favorite from her. If they sound like you would enjoy them I do recommend you read the books. I look forward to what she has coming out next.
“Double down was a blackjack term. It’s when you had a risky hand that had the potential to be strong, or the potential to be disastrous. Instead of riding the hand out, you double your bet.”
