A hundred miles from my problems, I've found a new one just down the hall.

My gorgeous and conceited new roommate is exactly the type of guy who ruined my life. Hating him should be easy, but it's not. We fight and tease, playing a game we can't win. And when all pretenses fall away, he shows me a side to him I can't ignore.

He's guarded for a reason and he's never let anyone in...until now.

With this reckless game we play, there's one truth we can't escape. We're treading the edge of an attraction so intense it might as well be a grenade.

Review:

I was introduced to Veronica Larsen earlier this year so I was excited to able to go back and read some of her earlier work. Enamor gives us a roommates to lovers romance with some fun pranks sprinkled throughout.

From the moment Julia and Giles meet, there’s that instant spark. That overwhelming attraction that you can’t seem to ignore. However, he’s cocky and arrogant and she decides she wants nothing to do with him. Only to find out that they are now going to be roommates. Thus starts an epic enemies to lover battle. And yes, I say battle because they not only battle each other via pranks but they battle their own demons in order to finally recognize their feelings for each other.

Even though Julia has her own past that has left her vulnerable, I liked the fact that she was still so outspoken and fought for what she wanted. She didn’t take any crap and she always stood her ground.  But it was with Giles that I could see that that was so much more to him lurking in the background that I instantly connected with and wanted more from him. I needed to know his story.

If you are looking for a fast paced and fund enemies/roommates to lovers story, then this is the book for you. You’ll laugh, you’ll feel for them and overall you’ll want to fight for them as much as they want to fight for themselves.

About Veronica Larsen

Veronica Larsen began writing around the age of seven, scribbling Nancy Drew-like stories between the margins of composition notebooks. Her journey into the romance genre began once upon a long military deployment when she penned a steamy romance for her husband, a US Marine. This story eventually turned into her debut novel Entangle. She fell in love with writing romance and hasn’t looked back since. Her novels are known to feature engaging story-lines, relatable characters that tap into heart-tugging truths, and a tangible chemistry that builds throughout the story. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which has come in handy in resolving the messy lives of the fictional people in her head.
