One single moment changes everything
In one breath, you can have it all
A split-second later, it can all disappear
That was me
I had it all
Then in a cruel twist of fate, it was taken from me
A beautiful life gone in a flash
But he was there
He was there to pick me up when I fell
To protect me
My savior. My rock.
He was just a stranger
Just a selfless stranger with a face I'll never forget
And like everything else, he just disappeared
As if he never existed
I have to find him
I need to find him
He has to know that he saved me
He has to know that in that one fleeting moment, he was all I could see
When this book was announced, it was Bella Jewel’s Secret Book. So when the blurb came out, I made sure to not even read it. That way I went into it completely blind. Best decision I could have ever made. This book is so different from what I normally read by Bella and I truly loved it. I was actually on vacation with family and picked the book up for a quick read of a chapter or two. That read turned into binge reading the entire book in one sitting. I think I might have even stood up some people for lunch. Oops.
Fleeting Moments will touch many people’s hearts in different ways. It’s a book where certain situations happen that are unfortunately very relevant in the world we live in right now. What makes this so special is that it gives you more depth behind those situations. How it affects people’s lives and how much suffering and pain is felt and the story of the struggle to overcome horrific situations.
Lucy thought she had the perfect life. Then one day, life threw her a devastating blow, forcing her into one of the most horrific scenes anyone could imagine. Terrified and alone, one man steps up and helps her cope during this time. A man that is a stranger to her yet pulls him close to her because of the events that they go through together.
Heath has one mission in his life. Go after the one person who has hurt him and his family the most. He doesn’t have time for anything else. Yet when fate puts Lucy into his life, he can’t walk away. No matter how hard he tries. Will the two of them heal together or will they go back to the lives they’ve always known?
I loved Lucy. She goes through a tragic situation but she manages to hold her own and she won’t back down from anyone. She’s strong, determined and a fire cracker. I just wanted to snatch her up and hug her for everything that she was going through.
I kept this review pretty vague. I really want you to go into this blind. I’ve seen some of the other reviews and it gives aways some of the stuff that I felt like I was impacted more because I didn’t know before hand. I experienced it fully without any preconceived theories or ideas.
I really enjoyed this book and I will make sure to recommend it to everyone. Well done, Bella. This is so different than what you normally do and it’s absolutely raw and beautiful.
