The second installment in the Devil's Night Series...

BANKS

Buried in the shadows of the city, there’s a hotel called The Pope. Ailing, empty, and dark, it sits abandoned and surrounded by a forgotten mystery.

But you think it’s true, don’t you, Kai Mori? The story about the hidden twelfth floor. The mystery of the dark guest who never checked in and never checks out. You think I can help you find that secret hideaway and get to him, don’t you?

You and your friends can try to scare me. You can try to push me. Because even though I struggle to hide everything I feel when you look at me—and have ever since I was a girl—I think maybe what you seek is so much closer than you’ll ever realize.

I will never betray him.

So sit tight.

On Devil’s Night, the hunt will be coming to you.

KAI

You have no idea what I seek, Little One. You don’t know what I had to become to survive three years in prison for a crime I would gladly commit again.

No one can know what I’ve turned into.

I want that hotel, I want to find him, and I want this over.

I want my life back.

But the more I’m around you, the more I realize this new me is exactly who I was meant to be.

So come on, kid. Don’t chicken out. My house is on the hill. So many ways in, and good luck finding your way out.

I’ve seen your hideaway. Time to see mine

*Hideaway is a romantic suspense suitable for ages 18+. While the romance in this story is a stand-alone, the plot is a continuation of events that began in CORRUPT. It is strongly recommended that you have read Corrupt (Devil’s Night #1) prior to reading this book. Corrupt is currently on sale for only $0.99.

The four horsemen are back, and one of them in particular will do just about anything to protect the ones he cares for, but also, to claim the one person who has captivated his dark and sinful soul for good…

Review~

My highly anticipated book is here! I have been so anxious for this book to release. I love a good dark romance and this series is some serious book crack for me.

Kai and Banks have a different sort of relationship. It’s one I wasn’t really expecting, both good and bad, and yet this seemed to fit them very well. It did take me a bit to get invested in the story but once it hit I was hooked. This is defiantly not Corrupt 2.0 and I am very grateful for that. I don’t really care for it when the next book is almost a carbon copy of the first one. I love that this one surprised me so much and was more than I expected.

There is so much going on and I think so much being set up for the next book. This felt like a book and a half almost. Sometimes that is both good and bad. Good because it’s like a bonus but yet it’s bad because it feels like that stuff over shadowed the current main person’s book. I’m still a bit on the fence to how I feel about it. I do love who it’s for but then again I love Kai too.

Over all I loved this book so hard and it was exceptional and worth the wait. I am dying for the next release and I hope it’s the brutal torture and angst I’m expecting it to be! I love these characters so much.

But I don’t…I didn’t want to play!”
“Oh, you’ve been playing with me all night,” he said, a growl lacing his voice. “Run. Because I turn into a very different person when no one’s looking.”
