Gabriel Legend is unlike any other man I've ever met.
He came into my life like a hurricane, shattering all my assumptions and preconceived notions.
I wasn't prepared for him. I wasn't prepared for any of it.
Whatever happens next, I know one thing for certain.
I will never be the same Scarlett I was before I met him.
'House of Scarlett' is the second book of the Legend Trilogy and should be enjoyed following 'The Fall of Legend'. Scarlett and Legend's story concludes in 'The Fight for Forever'.

“I’ve clawed my way out of the gutter, but I’m a million light years away from your ivory tower. I’m not good enough for you. I’ll never be good enough for you. But if you want messy, I got that down.”
I’m sad to say that this one took me a minute to get into it. I really do enjoy this story, that’s not the issue, it’s just reading rough for me. Some moments the story is to slow paced, some moments the chemistry seems to have disappeared between them, and then in others it’s just not clicking for me.
I wanted this one to move the story along a bit more than it did. I think that is my biggest issue with this one, and the only reason I marked it down. I wanted more then just back and forth with this book.
I love Legend. I think he’s a great character, and I would consider him among my favorites from Meghan. I don’t think I’ve connected with Scarlett as much as I would have liked too. She’s not bad, but she’s just not there for me. I’m hoping this changes in the last book.
Even though this one isn’t all the way there for me, I’m still reading the last book. I recommend these books because I know their good, even though I have a few issues with them. Meghan is a great writer, and I’ve got a long list of books for you to check out.
