Two strangers in Paris ...
One passionate, earth-shattering kiss.
He was the artist upstairs
with the tantalizing smile and laughing eyes.
He was the devil inviting me to sin,
seducing me to dance in the bright moonlight.
He was desire and need.
When he touched me, my body sang.
My soul came alive.
But I belonged to another man,
and he didn't want to let me go.
“You’re my midnight thought and my 11:11 wish”
So, this is my first Mia Asher book. I know. I freaking know. I have 3 of her books on my kindle and I haven’t read them yet. What is wrong with me? What have I been waiting for? I absolutely have been missing out and thankfully something pushed me to read Love Me In The Dark. Somehow someone or something knew that it was exactly what I needed at the right time.
Valentina has discovered that she’s lost a little bit of the woman she used to be. She’s married to a wealthy man who swept her off her feet but never really truly showed her love. He’s made some mistakes in the past, things that she has forgiven him for but never really forgotten and they really aren’t the happily married couple that they seem to be. During a trip to Paris that was supposed to be for Valentina and her husband, she starts to discover more of herself again and comes into the path of Sébastien. The one man that might just be her soul mate.
I won’t give anything away. I won’t say that there are twists or turns or anything like that, I just think that you need to go into it blind with out any expectations. I know that I was expecting angst and while there might be a little bit here, it wasn’t anything that I was expecting. I fell hard and fast for both Valentina and Sébastien.
Mia Asher delivers us a story that is beautiful and poetic that has us gripping our hearts and swooning excessively. Watching Valentina and Sébastien fall in love and following their story was exciting, fun and heart warming. The beauty in their profound love is welcoming and comforting and leave you with a desire of wanting exactly what they have.
I really loved this story. I couldn’t put it down because I was so addicted to it. The writing was amazing and flowed easily, which allowed for me to be able to devour the book quickly. I can’t wait to read more from Mia Asher. She certainly has a new fan with me.
