“He was going to soar and burst like a supernova once he was out of this small Texas town, and I was going to remain the ashes he left behind—the stardust that slowly descended the earth in his wake.”
Review:
I love that we are getting a palate cleanser book (something different) from LJ Shen. She’s flexing her writing muscle, and showing us she’s got the good stuff. I’m sure we all knew this anyway, but it’s always nice to see that an author can throw a curve ball and put out something fresh.
This one is angsty, passionate, gripping, and so so adrenaline pumping. She spends most of the book punching us in the face, and we couldn’t be happier with her for this book. It’s always nice when you’re happy that the author walked all over your emotions, and thank them for it too.
Any LJ fan should jump on this one for sure. If you haven’t read her yet, well then I can’t even with you, but you should still dip your toes into it with this one.
“This was going to be temporary.
And painful.
And worth it.”
