As the president of the Sin City Outlaw Motorcycle Club, I fuck as hard as I ride and rarely go to bed alone. The women are fast and the violence is intense. I excel in both.People either respect me or fear me. I'm not arrogant. It’s just the truth.I was a king, reigning over Vegas without complication, until one gorgeous sheriff made everything fall apart. When I saw her, I became a Neanderthal, wanting nothing more than to be between those legs. I guess that’s where I went wrong, because my reality was shot to hell real fucking fast. One kiss caused her to step over that blue line. One night in her bed made me a traitor. And now… we’re both screwed.
I’ve been a fan of M.N. Forgy for a while now. I really enjoyed her Devil’s Dust Series so I was all too happy to read another MC book by her.
Zeek is the President of The Sin City Motorcycle Club. He rides hard and likes his women fast. Jillian is a new Deputy Sheriff in town and lives life completely by the books. She was raised and groomed to abide by the law. What does this mean for the two polar opposites that continue to cross paths? One extremely dangerous attraction.
“I need you to realize what I’m risking to explore this fucking infatuation I have for you, Jillian.”
They both know they shouldn’t be together. It could be fatal for both of them. However, their attraction is so powerful that neither can stay away from the other. What I really liked about this relationship is how alpha Zeek got when it came to Jillian. Of course we see the cocky side to him and the confidence that he slings, but we get to see his passion and vulnerability with his alpha tendencies.
“Dear God, this girl is going to be the end of me. Because I’ll die before I let her walk away from me. I’ll burn this entire fucking town down before I let another man inside of her.”
I also liked the struggle that Jillian goes through with resisting feelings and being faced with things that are illegal and/or immoral. I think I just said that I wanted to see her move towards “the dark side.” Eh, I’ll go with it.
They only thing that I needed more was grit and assertiveness from Zeek as the President. Without giving anything away, there is a reason why it looks like he doesn’t have this. I get that but there were times I just wanted to smack him myself and tell him to open his eyes and “take care of it.”
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and will continue to look forward to more books by M.N. Forgy.
