Blake Jennings has always wanted what his parents had: a sweet, simple love that lasts a lifetime. And when he meets Luciana, he knows she’s the one.
Luciana Salazar comes from a tight-knit family that pushes her to follow her dreams. When she takes a job on the Braided Rope Ranch, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with its owner, the dark-haired man she’s seen watching her in town.
Roping the Virgin is over-the-top sweet, with a heaping scoop of sexy steam. Blake sweeps his Luciana off her feet and gives her the life she’s always dreamed of.
Warning: Ridiculous is almost close enough to describe this irresistible short story. Come back to the Jennings farm and pull up a rocking chair. You’ll like the way they treat you.
I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record but I seriously cannot get enough of Alexa Riley books. Good thing they are short and sweet and we get a lot of them! When I read the first book in this series, I was one of those people that wanted Blake to get his own story. I wanted him to get a dose of his own medicine and boy did he ever! You do not need to read the first book to read this one.
Blake Jennings has always wanted a family. A wife and kids and a blissful life on their ranch. When he locks his eyes on Luciana Salazar, he instantly knows she’s the one. She’s the woman that belongs in his life and is part of his family. Unfortunately for him, she doesn’t seem that interested.
Luciana Salazar has never had time for love outside of her career. She wants to focus on her career as a veterinarian. Lucky for Blake, that desire lands her right on his ranch. Now that he has her there, will he be able to keep her?
Oh man, the warning with this book is absolutely right. It is ridiculously over the top and sweet and I couldn’t get enough of it. I actually loved that Blake fell so hard. Especially since he gave his brother such a hard time when it happened to him. He instantly felt the need to care and love for Luciana the second he saw her and that only intensified when she came to the ranch.
Things escalated quickly but I was OK with that. I thought both Blake and Luciana were super sweet and made for each other. The only thing I would have liked was for Blake to have a dirty mouth but that’s just me being greedy. He’s perfect the way he is. I think I have a new obsession with cowboys, now.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. It’s super quick, super sweet and super fun. Don’t miss out on yet another great read from Alexa Riley!
