This isn’t a story about a love triangle. There is no triangle involved.
This isn’t a story about an accidental pregnancy. Although having a baby with her . . . I would.
This isn’t a story about lies and deception, even though at times I’ve lied to myself.
No, this is my story.
A story about sacrifice.
A story about a man who fell in love with the wrong girl.
A story I wish I never had to tell.
This is a story about the true meaning of the downside of love.
Review:
“The downside of love is heartache and uncertainty, but the upside of falling is finding an everlasting love that will carry you through a lifetime of happiness.”
First and foremost, you CANNOT read The Downside of Love without having read The Upside of Falling. If you haven’t read that, stop right now and go read it. This review could be a potential spoiler and you would be lost if you started here.
This book. This story. It’s everything. It ripped me apart only to put me back together better than before. I’m not even sure how to review it without giving anything away but I’m going to try to be vague and only talk about my feels because of that.
I will say that I had a feeling this story was going in the direction that it did and I couldn’t have been happier with the way it turned out. My heart bled for everyone while soaring at the same time. I felt even more connected to everyone than I did in the previous book.
The Downside of Love is emotional, beautiful and raw. I cannot express to you how much I think this Duet belongs in everyone’s life. I can’t recommend it enough. Well done, Meghan Quinn. You made me feel and you delivered my all time favorite work from you. I will be screaming about this Duet to everyone.

About Meghan Quinn

USA Today Bestselling Author, wife, adoptive mother, and peanut butter lover. Author of romantic comedies and contemporary romance, Meghan Quinn brings readers the perfect combination of heart, humor, and heat in every book.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
