Eight years ago, Cole Van Buren left me at the altar without a single explanation. My heart’s been at a standstill ever since, the anger keeping me from moving on. Keeping me from seeing the man who’s been right in front of me all this time…
Andrew’s been the friend I needed, the one constant through the hardest times of my life. But one night, the lines blur and we’re tipped into something more. Just when I’m ready to explore what we could be…
My ex comes back.
Cole says he didn’t come to get me back, but I should know better. The answers he dangles overhead are the ones I need to finally let go.
Except there’s no such thing as closure, only a past that wants to pull you backward.

Whew, this was an all consuming angsty love triangle that had me feeling all kinds of things. It’s been a long time since I was so invested in everyone. I actually like love triangles but I haven’t read one in a while that has captivated me like The Edge of Us.
Before you immediately dismiss this if you are normally against that kind of troupe, please reconsider. Yes, you’ll have feelings for all involved but I think it will leave you feeling like you got exactly what you wanted from it.
I was enthralled with Mila, Andrew and Cole. Cole broke Mila’s heart 8 years ago and that night, Andrew came into her life. He was exactly what she needed at the time. They’ve always been just friends but when they finally cross that line into something more, Cole shows back up. From the moment I met all three of them, I wanted a happy ending for them all.
The journey that we go through to revisit Mila’s past with Cole is dark and surrounded by pain. Yet beauty peeks through at times, letting us know that there is hope for Mila’s future. There are a few surprises in there. Or maybe just explanations but I wasn’t expected them and they really added to the value of the plot.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It’s my first read by Veronica Larsen and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next. Pick up this book!
