**A standalone romance inspired by the classic film, Roman Holiday.**

I never believed in fairy-tales.

Never held out for Prince Charming.

Growing up poor in small-town California as the oldest of six siblings, I knew I would never ride off into the sunset with anyone. That was even more apparent when a senseless tragedy took the lives of my parents, forcing me to become the sole guardian of our dysfunctional household at the mere age of twenty-three.

Then a fateful encounter literally brought Prince Charming to my doorstep.

At first I thought Viktor was just your average businessman passing through, albeit obscenely handsome, six-foot-five, blue-eyed, and mysteriously rich.

But soon I discovered the truth behind Viktor’s façade.

Beneath his quiet, enigmatic gaze and cocky charm, is a man who is running away from who he really is. A role he’d rather not fulfill.

He is Viktor of House Nordin, His Royal Highness, The Crown Prince of Sweden.

Yet uncovering Viktor’s secret was only the first step.

I didn’t expect to fall in love with him.

I didn’t expect to have my whole life turned upside down.

When you’re from two different worlds, can your hearts meet somewhere in the middle?

Or do happily-ever-afters only exist in fairy-tales

Review:

The Swedish Prince is a sweet and sexy real life fairytale with a Prince who will sweep you off your feet. If you are looking to be charmed and are a hopeless romantic that loves fairytales, then you want to grab this one immediately.

Maggie grew up with a large family but she left California to attend NYU and chase her dream of being a journalist. When tragedy strikes her family, she is forced to go back to California and care for her five brothers and sisters. Working as a housekeeper to make ends meet, she runs into a Swedish man who is absolutely stunning. As they continue to be put in each other’s paths, their chemistry continues to grow. However, he’s the Prince of Sweden and has been keeping that from her.

When Viktor took off to the States to regain some mental composure in his life, he had no idea what Maggie would turn his world upside down. From the moment he met her, he wanted her and he began dreaming of taking her back to Sweden. Now all he has to do is tell her and convince her. Easy, right? Thus we begin the story of Maggie finding her Prince Charming.

I’m going to be honest here. I struggled for a bit during this book. It started out strong and I adore Karina’s writing style but something just stopped clicking for me after a while. It’s kind of hard to pinpoint but I think it comes down to the fact that I just didn’t connect to the characters as much as I wanted to. I know that Viktor will sweep many people off their feet, including Maggie but for me I was just content. Not wowed enough to beg for me. I don’t mean that to come off harsh because I did like them, I just didn’t connect to them enough to make me feel like I wanted to.

I will say that I absolutely love the idea of Maggie’s brother, Callum. I mean, that kid… You have no idea what he is going to say, what he is going to do and dare I say you might be a bit frightened?

Don’t let my rating fool you, I really did enjoy this book and I think that many people are going to devour it. If you want to be whisked away by a fairytale, this definitely pick this up!
