Dolly Jennings has wanted one man since she was sixteen, but he’s kept her at arm’s reach. Time has passed and she’s all grown up now, with a body that he can’t ignore.
Brandon Knight has wanted Dolly for longer than he should have, but he thought she deserved someone better. No longer able to control his desires, he’s giving up on staying away, and claiming his woman.
When Brandon finally gives in, can he prove himself worthy of Dolly? Will Dolly throw sass and southern sayings all over the place?
Warning: This short story is packed full of big hair, big attitude, and big curves. Dolly holds her own, but the hero always ends up on top. *slow wink* Grab your boots and cowboy hat… We’ve got a couple of cherries to pop!
All of these books can be read as standalone but I’ve really enjoyed this series so I suggest you read them all. Who doesn’t want an entire series of over the top, full on alpha love stories?
Dolly Jennings is the youngest of the Jennings group and protected by her three brothers. She’s full of sass and isn’t afraid to say what she means. Which is why is it no secret that she’s been hung up on Brandon Knight. She’s made it quite clear to Brandon what she wants yet he never makes a move.
Brandon Knight has loved Dolly since she was way too young for him to be thinking about her in that way. He’s been bidding his time until he can claim Dolly as his. When it is time, will Dolly still be just as hung up on him as he is on her, or will she have moved on and given up on them ever having a chance?
“I married you in my heart that day. I just had a little waiting to do.”
So freaking sweet! These two have been in love with each other for as long as they can remember but they’ve had a long road of waiting, wanting and frustration. I like the fact that these two had to wait for each other. It adds to the appeal the experience of when they finally do get together.
At first I didn’t think Brandon was going to be one of the over the top alphas that we so love from Alexa Riley but it turns out that he is and I loved it. It took a while but eventually these two ended up having some sexy scenes. Brandon is bossy in bed!
The one thing that held me back a little was the Daddy references. It is mixed a little with joking (ish) with Dolly calling Brandon her baby-daddy and actually calling him Daddy as a sexual reference. For a lot of people, that works for them. I’m just not one of them. So I had mix feelings on it.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and this entire season. If you want sexy virgins (hero and heroine) and alpha cowboys who are demanding, sexy and full of undying love, then this is the series for you!
