It was a tryst. A sin swallowed down by desire.
That’s what I tell myself. But my body isn’t the only part that aches for him now.
I sold my soul. Now my heart is a slave to the devil. Dominic King.
He unveiled the taboo, illuminating my lie and unexpectedly stole my heart.
But I walked away.
Lust is my religion. She became my sanctuary.
If it’s forgiveness she seeks the price just doubled.
And she’ll pay it bound at my feet.
I gave her pain for pleasure. Her truth.
Now I’ll make her beg me for more.
“My heart is in real jeopardy of dedicating itself to beating only for her. Fuck. Who am I kidding – it’s been beating only for her since we met.”

I received an email asking me to join the blog tour for this one. I have never heard of this author and never read anything by her (well..duh since I hadn’t heard of her). I have found a new favorite author and I will be auto one-clicking her from now on.
“I want the girl behind the mask, the one who keeps her dirty little secrets and waits to think of them only when she touches herself…I want her.”
What initially drew me into this book when I started was the writing. The story was good, but I fell in love with the writing first. I don’t want to give the storyline away, so all I will say is that when she goes to “church” is when the story really took off for me. King has made his way to my list of favorite book boyfriends – I couldn’t get enough of him.
“Mmm, you’re going to pay for that, gorgeous.” His eyes are a storm of sinful rage.
“Promise?” My voice sounds like I’m begging, and I think I may very well be.
“I’ve never meant anything more. Sweetheart, I will ruin you for any other man, and then I will keep you.”
King and Drew had phenomenal chemistry. Their first “date” was amazing and one of the best I’ve ever read. I know this could be considered a bit “insta-love,” and I am very vocal about how much I do not like those stories, but this was so expertly written that it does not feel like one. The dialog is not what I would consider overused, canned, typical, phrases. It’s real, fresh, and captivating. It was so refreshing to read something that didn’t sound like every other book I’ve read lately.
“Who the fuck are you?” My eyes search his for the answer.
“I’m the one.”
I can not wait to go read the other books that Trilina has out right now. I am incredibly excited about the follow up to this book. The story is full of soul, wit, and seduction. She is a master storyteller, and I am a huge fan now.
