First of all, I just love this series. I was hooked from the start and have not so patiently been waiting for each book to come out. If you have not read Wolf Bait and Wolf Bite then you need to stop reading this and go pick them up. Not only because you will be lost but let’s face it, you will be missing out on some seriously freaking hot scenes. The kind you still think about later and you realize just hot much you missed them when you back and re-read them. You’ll thank me later.

Now that we got that out of the way… Wolf Prey was what I thought going to be the final book in Abbi and Henry’s journey. Much to my surprise but also a little frustration, we actually get more of them. I say that because while I’m super excited to always have more of these two, I felt like their story was a little stretched out and too thin in this one. I think is because I’m mostly selfish and wanted a quick resolve between the two of them while they ride off into the sunset testing each other happily. Don’t get me wrong, I really did enjoy this book!

In this book, we get to see Abbi grow a little bit more into herself. While we started to see that back in Alaska, she hadn’t been faced with the passive-agressive monster of a force that is her mother. Now that she is back in her childhood home and forced to face a past of the girl she used to be, it’s time for her to step and take charge. Which is exactly what she did. You can still see some of the insecurities from her as she continues to mature but her progression is actually very interesting to watch.

Henry will always have a place in my heart. He’s this full on rich alpha male with one of the biggest hearts, especially towards Abbi. Sure, he’s made some mistakes but he continues to show just how much he is devoted to her and he helps guide her through their exploration of each other. In so many different ways 😉

While I was a little bit frustrated with the pace of their relationship in this book, I am super excited to get more of them. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It is hopeful and sends a message about young/new adult figuring out how to stand up for what they want and what they believe in. Don’t miss out on this series. If you haven’t read anything yet, start with book one and if you haven’t read Wolf Prey yet, make sure you pick it up now!

I reach for the iPad, pulling it up to my face, just the tops of my breasts visible to him now. “It’s your turn now.”

“You’re right, it is,” he says so calmly. “And you like to watch, don’t you?”

“Yes.” I love to watch. I love seeing Henry undress. I love seeing him naked. I love seeing his erection, long and thick and sliding through his fist.

He reaches back over his head to pull his t-shirt off. That perfect, cut body is beneath, his shoulders strong and rounded, his collarbone jutting out. If he were here in front of me, I’d be running my hands along the curves of his biceps right now.

I bite my bottom lip, waiting impatiently as he unfastens his belt with leisurely fingers.

My nipples begin to pebble again as he draws his zipper down, allowing me the first glimpse of his erection beneath, stretching against his gray boxer briefs, desperate to get out. I can even see the wet spots where his precum dampened the cotton.

I won’t be able to resist touching myself again before long.

He slides his hand down past the elastic band and I sit up to watch as it curls around his length, the lightest sigh escaping my lips. And then he smirks. It’s a wicked smirk. “Good night, Abbi.”

The connection cuts off.

I just stare at the screen. Did he just…?

I fall back into my pillow with a groan. That son of a bitch. Grabbing my phone, I text him.

Please call me back.

It takes hours for me to fall asleep that night, with no message from Henry.
